Nigeria Women Awake (NIWA) is an organization initiated to coordinate women at national level to contribute to the development, security and peaceful co-existence of the Nigerian nation through strategic intervention in the specific areas of prayers and advocacy.
The organization is incorporated as a gender based voluntary platform that organizes and coordinates Christian women to stand in the gap for the nation in the place of prayer and to lend their collective voices to critical and related issues in the national polity.
The vision is towards a Nigerian nation that is spiritually, socially, economically and politically whole, peaceful and divinely aligned with the purpose of God for all the nations of the earth. The approach is to challenge and organise Nigerian women to unite in prayers and make their voices heard on critical issues of National development.
We pursue this end through a broad base intercessory network that builds up participatory commitment at national level. This organization is managed by burdened Christian women who are committed to pure intercession for the nation.
