A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms

If you are one of us, members of a group of 8.1 million viewers of HBO most popular TV show, Game of thrones, awaiting the release of The Winds of Winter, we need to tell you some sour-sweet news.

Unfortunately, George RR Martin must know that we are sitting at the edge of our seats expecting new book as a preview of future on-screen seasons, and being as he is, he was nice enough to throw us a bone this year with A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms... which doesn’t exactly follow the lives of our beloved onscreen characters.

The story takes place a century before the events of A Song of Ice and Fire and follows a hedge knight named Dunk, and his young squire, Egg. (Who come to life thanks to some incredible illustrations throughout the novel, but you will need to read it and see the illustrations for yourself).

“Though more improbable heroes may not be found in all of Westeros, great destinies lay ahead for these two . . . as do powerful foes, royal intrigue, and outrageous exploits.” , as said by New York Times.

The book features more than 160 all-new illustrations by Gary Gianni and is a must-have collection that proves chivalry isn't dead--yet.

So, with the prequel behind us, all we have to worry about now is avoiding spoilers from season six of the Game of Thrones HBO TV series.
