Daily motivation quote: WHO SAYS SO?!
It is probable that many of you who read these words at this moment, have been told from time to time by people (who in most cases were well-meaning) that you would never amount to anything, could not do this or that, or that you had no talent for particular field, etc.
If you overcome those negative comments and do something that you wanted in your life but always have been scared to do it because of those critics –just try! Try it again and again, practice until you do it perfectly, do trainings, ask experts, read about it, and do! You need to free yourself of negative toughs and at least to try not caring at the beginning about getting to success. To get success you need to fail few times. But you will never get to be good at something if you never try.
Further, if you think about negative comments - you will smile eventually at the memory of the satisfaction you gained by "proving them wrong." It will be obvious that you did not listen to what they had to say, and succeeded in spite of (in some cases) and because of (in other cases) the negative comments of others and despite some problems you might have had early on in life.
They say that it is never late to try new things, that life starts after coming out the comfort zone of known and that past doesn’t really impact the future – that you can change it and create it for yourself. So, why not to try?! You can’t really lose if you are making mistakes at the beginning – you know why? Because you tried! There are other people that don’t even try anymore. You probably heard it already a lot of times before, but this time think about it: It is not about winning, it is about game. The important part is to participate.
Going back a few years, Franklin, Adler and Jung were poor mathematicians; Einstein did not speak until he was nearly five years old and was considered "mentally slow"; Watt was declared "dull and inept"; and Walt Disney was fired from his first job because "he had no imagination." Thomas Edison was asked to leave school because, at age nine, he was at the bottom of his class. Edgar Allen Poe, Shelley and Whistler were all expelled from school. Grandma Moses – famous American artist - wasn't exactly a "child prodigy," having achieved all of her fame, success and the development of her talent after age 80. Abraham Lincoln had the equivalent of three months of school and was ridiculed for his appearance.
We don’t say that you won’t need a little bit of talent, luck or time to spend on developing your skills, but we can promise that if you try – you have better chances of feeling satisfaction at getting the results! Who knows, maybe you will quite, or find out for yourself that you are not interested or satisfied with idea, but at least you will get experienced for next Eureka moment!
This says that the "experts" or well-meaning other people are misguided in their efforts and just plain wrong in their thinking. Factually, we can measure I.Q., but not "want to." We can measure the size of your head but not the size of your heart.
We are not saying that you shouldn’t ever listen to real experts with their advises or that you cannot change your mind and your wishes on the way of fulfillment of your plans, but that if you try you will make changes as time passes and on your way, on th path chosen and created by you.
I encourage you to listen carefully to what people say, think through those words, and then follow your heart as you use your head to develop the skills and talents you have. Take that approach and we will see each other at the top!
