’Friends’ Cast Will Reunite for Special Airing on February

We can't wait for all the Friends to be together once again on the same screen - 'cause that in itself is purely magical.

On last Wednesday during the Television Critics Association Press Tour NBC entertainment chairman Robert Greenblatt reportedly confirmed that the six "Friends" stars will all appear in a two-hour special airing on 21st of February.

The actors behind Rachel, Monica, Phoebe, Joey, Chandler and Ross — Matthew Perry, David Schwimmer, Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Matt LeBlanc and Lisa Kudrow — have all signed up for the special, a tribute to director James Burrows and to honor his recent milestone of directing 1000 sitcom episodes. The special will mark the first time since 2004 that the entire cast appears in the same project. In the years since "Friends" went off the air, the show's fans have seen cast members reunite on television, but never all six.

The two-hour show is expected to feature cameos, sketches and appearances connected to the various series the 75-year-old has worked on over the years. This announced special will also feature cast members from other shows that Greenblatt has directed, including "Will & Grace" and "Cheers"  (and many, many more).

Sitcom “Friends” ended in 2004, after a decade of airing - it has made international stars of its little-known cast, winning a bunch of awards and a huge audience in the process.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Robert Greenblatt stated that while all six "Friends" stars will appear in this Special, they may not all be appearing together - "I'm hoping all six will be in the same room at the same time but I'm not sure we can logistically pull that off" .

Paul Telegdy, who's involved in the project, was quick to add that all six would be participating in some manner.

In the past, the cast has spoken about unlikely new episodes of "Friends" with all six main cast members due to their busy schedules.

So, while this is the first official reunion of the "Friends" cast, we should not expect to see the gang sitting at famous “Central Perk” café and remembering old times, but we can hope that, as always before, they will provide some quality time.
